Up for sale is this beautiful Antique 1906 Bausch & Lomb Optical Co. Rochester, NY Brass Jug Handle Microscope. Has a serial number on the medallion # 62339 which dates it to 1906. Measures 6" deep x 4" wide x 15.5" tall when extended to its maximum height and 11.5" tall when adjusted to its lowest height. It weighs 6 lb. 12.5 oz. All the gears and tightening mechanisms work solidly and smoothly. The left side up and down adjustment knob will slide on and off its post if you pull hard on it. The right one has no issues and moves the scope up and down smoothly. The mirror has a concave and flat side to it and both are in good solid condition. The whole mirror mechanism will slide off its metal post if you pull hard on it. There is some sort of aperture mechanism under the stage that I don't believe is complete and am not sure how to operate. It has 2 marked removable objectives (4mm .85 N.A. & 16 mm .25 N.A.) attached that you can rotate between and screw on and off. The top glass screw on/off eyepiece is marked with the # 73. Stage clips seem to be missing also.
