1989 Michael Jordan Signed Autographed Personal Check Rare PSA/DNA MINT 9
The reassuring thing about a personal check from Michael Jordan is that a recipient can be reasonably confident that the check won't bounce. Another fact about a personal MJ check is that often, as in the case herein, the signed Jordan check is worth more for his signature than for the amount of money written on the check itself. Displayed is a neatly written Jordan personal check in the amount of .00, written to Highland Park Pediatric Assoc., of Highland Park, Illinois. Perhaps the check involved a visit from one of his children. The check is dated May 3, 1989. On that night, Jordan had a double-double as he scored 44 points and added 10 assists to lead his Chicago Bulls to a 101-94 victory over the Cleveland Cavaliers in Game 3 of the First Round Eastern Conference five-game play-off series at Chicago Stadium. In that 1988-89 season, the Bulls defeated Cleveland 3 games to 2 in the play-offs, and eventually advanced to the Eastern Conference Finals, in which the Bulls lost 4-2 in games to the Detroit Pistons. For the 1988-89 campaign, Jordan led the NBA with a 32.5 PPG scoring average. The check is written on the Bank of Glenbrook (Illinois). Jordan has inscribed and signed the check in blue ink using a ballpoint pen. The check comes with a PSA/DNA certified Auto grade of Mint 9. A personal signed check from the consensus NBA GOAT is a valued addition to any collector's sports assemblage.
