Up for sale is 6 of the Upper Deck Avatar The Last Airbender TCG Card Game Starter Decks for 372 cards total! Each deck box has 62 playing cards 2 of which are thick chamber cards with pull out tabs of double sided attacks.
These were made in 2005 under the Quickstrike gameplay system which is a non-hand based strategy game along with Pirates of the Caribbean and Shaman King.
The chamber cards in pictured are Zhao and Afiko, a UDE created airbender. They also created waterbender, Kinto, and earthbenders Jojo and Malu who are available as chamber cards. The card set was made about halfway through Book one with future sets planned. Other chamber characters available are Aang, Katara, Bumi, Zuko, and Iroh.
I have a lot of starter decks that say Legend of Aang which are an exclusive or promotional print (pic 7). Those cards are nicer with darker and more vibrant colors than Upper Deck America. The only other difference is the card pictured on the starter deck box and the words in the bottom right hand corner. Pics 10-12 show all 3 card types, strikes in blue, advantages in yellow, and teamworks in purple in both varieties.
Each starter comes with two 30 card decks and two double sided attack chamber cards that pull out at the top, representing your playable character. There are an assortment of common and uncommon cards, and normally 16 uncommon in every deck box. You do receive duplicates and these are not designed for good gameplay. They are randomly assorted by the manufacturer. It is 62 cards total including the chamber cards. You normally get 1-2 three star rare cards as pictured with Clutches of the Deep with its card number printed in yellow. I opened so many decks that were mispacked: 2 with no cards at all in them; one with all commons and no chamber cards, etc.
I will make sure you have at least 62 cards per box, 1 rare, and 16 uncommon.
Expect at least half of the boxes to be Legend of Aang variety and at least half to be imperfect boxes with scuffs on the plastic or dings. Expect at least half of the cards to be in pack fresh/ deck box fresh condition which can be slightly imperfect but very good.
This is great for collectors, starting to collect them all, playing the game, or giving as gifts as there are tons of Avatar fans out there as there should be! I have many more starter decks I can sell outside of this listing.
I play the game and enjoy collecting complete tcg sets after shows and manga I love like this.
The starter set comes with two play mats and a rule book. The case is heavy. Unfortunately that makes for expensive shipping.
