This roaster is a good size for cooking stews roasts, chicken, duck, a ham, macaroni and cheese,pot pie, rolls etc. The inside of the pampered chef is not glazed but if you are lucky enough to get one seasoned which this one is it will cook without needing to oil it. The outside is glazed. The pampered chef roaster baker can be frozen but do not take directly from freezer thaw before cooking. The pampered chef Company has been making great and useful cook ware for decades. This is probably the best cookware I have ever owned for baking and roasting. It makes everything have layers of delectable recipes. pampered chef items are passed from generation to generation. You can cook up to 450 degrees in conventional oven or convection oven. Hand wash only as seasoning would be removed and the roaster could break in the dishwasher. (Although pampered chef has not said they are discontinuing this item they are not taking orders for them and they are out of stock.)
